Some more work to a 1967 Bassman that was updated here last year. Components within correct tolerances previously had now started to wear out, likely from having the new surrounding componentry supplying voltages to spec for the first time in decades.
Both 1M resistors in the voltage divider had readings upwards of 1.2-1.3M. Replacement of all of the old carbon comps in that circuit with new ones, next to the phase inverter rebuilt last time. The bass channel's plate & slope 100K resistors were reading 120K+ each. They were replaced with the 220K & 470K pairs, which were in tolerance but changed for good measure since everything else has been at this point. Save the blue molded caps, which are still running proficiently and will only be replaced as needed. A socket scrub with the servicing and bias adjust following the work. And ripping again with that exceptional Bassman tone and chime @tsvg_yamil@tsvg_pedals#fenderamps#fenderbassman#bassman#vacuumtube#tubeamps#vintageamp#vintageamps#carboncomp#carboncomposite#resistor#sozocapacitors#wiring#pointtopoint#soldering#amptech#amprepair#whatsonyourbench
