| Don't believe everything you think |
I have had a lot of self doubt, pretty much my whole life. I was taught many different views before I was even 6 years old. I was confused, conflicted and unsure. During the most imperative moments of learning who I was in life, I learned that I wasn't enough. I believed that, I believed people's words, I believed the lies and hurt. So I carried them with me. Until now. I am worthy, I am capable, I am strong and I am enough. If someone told me even just 1 year ago that I would start a business, I would of laughed in their face and walked away. I wasn't motivated because I was scared. Not because of failing, I was good at that. I was scared to prove "them" wrong. I was scared to step out of being comfortable and to become successful, to become powerful in my authenticity, to become ME. Today I believe in ME. Our minds are extremely powerful. Are you believing everything you think? All the negative thoughts that the shitty committee seems to chatter in your head? Are you holding on to all the lies, the hurt and false teachings of others? Are you holding on to the past as if it was your now? You are not what others say you are. Own who you are, shine bright and prove "them" wrong ✌🏼💙 #changeispossible
Srimad Bhagavat Gita 6.26
yato yato niścalati
manaś cañcalam asthiram
tatas tato niyamyaitad
ātmany eva vaśaṁ nayet
From wherever the mind wanders due to its flickering and unsteady nature, one must certainly withdraw it and bring it back under the control of the Self.
The nature of the mind is flickering and unsteady. But a self-realized yogī has to control the mind; the mind should not control him. One who controls the mind (and therefore the senses as well) is called gosvāmī, or svāmī, and one who is controlled by the mind is called go-dāsa, or the servant of the senses. A gosvāmī knows the standard of sense happiness. In transcendental sense happiness, the senses are engaged in the service of Hṛṣīkeśa, or the supreme owner of the senses – Krishna. Serving Krishna with purified senses is called Krishna consciousness. That is the way of bringing the senses under full control. What is more, that is the highest perfection of yoga practice.
