Hey all! So I get a lot of questions about living on the road which is an aspect of my travels I haven’t covered too much yet. I’m pictured here a little ways outside of @grandcanyonnps at a @hipcamp site with a custom built tear drop camper that I purchased while on the road in Colorado, after the initial RV I set out in broke down. .
One of the things I do love about having a camper vs an RV is the ability to drop the camper somewhere, which allows me and my friend to go around in her SUV and use it as a regular/off road vehicle. This lets us set up somewhere while still being able to reach those more difficult to get to places with the car.
Hipcamp is like an Airbnb for private campsites, and opens up a world of possibilities when it comes to locations you can stay at. It’s also very affordable, I recommend it when traveling, assuming you have all your amenities with you, seeing as a lot of times they are not provided.
