ALRIGHTY FOLKS ✨ Here's the low-down on what I ate yesterday!
BREAKFAST: 🍌 Two slices of toast with peanut butter, banana, and cinnamon. THIS IS SUCH A STAPLE FOR ME 🍌🍞. LUNCH: 🍚 Dark leafy greens and spinach, jasmine rice, Quorn VEGAN fishless fingers 😍, and a big blob of fresh homemade hummus! THIS WAS SO GOOD GUYS ❤️😋
DINNER: 🌮 Homemade tacos with rice, mashed kidney beans, spinach, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and hummus. I have three of these but I easily could have had many many more 😜.
SNACK: I had a grilled (with non dairy butter - I use Nutelex- on the outside) Hummus and Vegemite sand which. I've never tried this combo before but it's definitely a winner winner hummus dinner. •
It's so easy to eat vegan, and to do so in a way that is delicious, quick, cheap, and simple. I don't want to spend 1 hour+ in the kitchen every night! The thing about plant food is that it's so easy to throw a heap of veggies together and have it taste amazing! 🍏🍌🍅🌶🥒🍠🥕🌽🥑
Koobideh Kabab // We visited @mehmanrestaurant_ for some #Persian food to satisfy the cravings of our lovely friends who were visiting Vancouver from Lisbon❤️ One of them grew up on his mom’s Persian food, and he said that Mehman passed his standards for authenticity. J and I were able to share this giant #platter (for only $11.99) between the two of us! It includes two juicy skewers of seasoned #groundbeef , served with #rice and a whole grilled #tomato . The platter also comes with half of a raw #onion , intended to be eaten between each bite of the meat as a palate cleanser (sort of like ginger for sushi). The tender and juicy #koobideh kabab was definitely the star of this platter 😍 // #thehungrycoupleyvr#meatsweats
Actually stuck to my macros today. Small victories. Back to my extra lean turkey and rice. Added zucchini, Brussels sprouts, and turkey bacon to fill in macros. And micros
