I knew this semester was going to be harder, but I didn’t realize it was going to be this hard. My classes are consistently getting more intense with work pilling on top of me.
This has definitely set me back with lifting because I’ve been having to cut my gym sessions SHORT‼️😫 I’ve really learned to cherish my lighter days and use them to my advantage for a good long workout. ❗️PLAN OUT YOUR WEEK❗️ so that you aren’t stressing out when you realize you don’t have enough time throughout the day to get all of your work done AND make it to the gym! Trust me I learned the hard way☹️👎🏻
first round 👉🏽last round; at the end of the second video you can see me running outside to go throw up 😂 might sound gross but for me that’s how I know I pushed myself hard enough.👌🏼
I’ve been waiting for this workout bc i’ve been wanting to re-test myself! So excited when I saw it.😍
When I did this WOD at the end of August (about a month into crossfit) I finished in 44:07 and my legs were on fire during it. Today, I had a plan in my head of how long I wanted to take per round and kept it until the 4th round! My legs didnt hurt at all, was just hard for me to breathe😨. I was sooo happy I finished in 40:53, beating my time by over 3 minutes🎉. (Started the wod after I started the video timer). Proof that if you mentally push yourself and stay consistent you WILL get better. 💪🏻. (WOD: “KELLY”: 5 rounds for time of: 400m run, 30 box jumps 24”, 30 wall balls 20 lbs.)
Now that the kids are in bed and I’m sitting on the couch drinking some wine I feel like I can chat about my 17 mile run....🏃🏼♀️
Today the temps were in the 80s which was something I was not used to during my long runs. (I’ve been training in 30 degree temps).
I ended up running out of water at mile 13. I was super nervous to continue on for another 4 miles without water.😰🤭
I called my friend (and unofficial running coach) and she brought me water and ran the last 4 with me.
I couldn’t have finished without her.😍
Today’s run was a mental struggle and I had to dig deep but I did it.🙏🏻
And I finally feel like I can complete 26. 🙌🏻
I’m terrified but so excited to be going after a major bucket list goal of mine. 🙋🏼♀️
