🇬🇧below.
After spending one and a half week at the hospital with my father, following the autoimmune protocol could have been an enormous challenge if it wasn’t for my super husband and mother. They have prepared and arranged food for me to bring along nonstop❤️ This is what we made yesterday for another day bedside dad, beef meatballs with carrots and zucchini.
Even if I could I wouldn’t swap it for the “food” they serve hete at the hospital...
H O S P I T A L 🏥 H U M O U R 😂 True Hospital Story:
So, when I was in the hospital recovering from surgery, I barely ate. I could not bear the bland slop that passes for “food” to save my life. Especially that dried out slab of crusty, over cooked wood they claim was called “salmon”. GACK.
Patrick just happened to be at the Whole Foods deli counter when I sent him my text whining about it. So he texted back all these delectable options for a cup of soup he could bring by.. In my Demerol-induced slobbering idiocy, I had it in my mind that he was standing in the canned soup aisle. So I was like: “I’ll take this and this and this.....”
“I need you choose one..”
“Oh, I’m good...” LOLOL! 😂😂😂😂 #hospital#hospitalfood#hospitalfoodsucks#food#ineededrealfood#imafoodie#soup#high#painkillers#what#idontknow#funny#surgery#whatwasithinking#daft#badfood#recovery#duh#ohdear
Shoved a bottle up his butt!
This X-ray belongs to a 35-year-old man who presented to the emergency department with profuse rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, and an altered mental status.
He was found intoxicated with a low blood pressure of 70/40 mm Hg and a foreign body was found on rectal examination but was not visible and no evidence of trauma was detected. Once the patient was hemodynamically stable, he was sent to be X-rayed and what was found was shocking as far as it can get to.
An intact bottle was seen in the rectosigmoid colon.
Laparotomy revealed a glass bottle of beer lodged in the sigmoid colon, with multiple associated lacerations in the rectosigmoid colon.
The bottle was removed in surgery, and the man was treated with antibiotics and pain relievers after which he recovered uneventfully.
