Today I met up with my good friend for a long catch up as I haven't seen her in over a year! We decided to visit the Wallace collection in hertford house @wallacemuseum and ate some food at the Wallace cafe. It was a little limited as they had run out of gluten free bread so I went for the grilled chicken and salad and my friend opted for the quinoa and chickpea salad. It was quite pricey and I had more salad than chicken on my plate but the actual cafe is lovely and the Wallace collection is free entry for those who want to spend some time enjoying the collection it was great!!

I remember how proud and excited I was to post the photo on the left 1 year ago today. I had just lost my first 20 lbs, and it felt great. Looking back and seeing how far I've come since then makes me so glad that I've stuck with it. I didn't realize until I put these photos side by side that my skin even looks healthier! Yep, your worst enemy is you. Even if you do decide to try and do more exercise to burn off the calories that you drank in Starbucks or any other establishment, your body may compensate for that extra activity.
There are different ways your body will do this and they are as follows:
❎By increasing your exercise your hunger may increase
❎You'll move less outside of the gym decreasing your N.E.A.T.
❎Your body will become more efficient at performing the exercise which means you'll burn fewer calories for the same quantity of exercise.
Despite giving you an estimate of how long it would take a 125lbs/56.8kg person to burn 470 calories, it's not as simple as that as you can see from what I've said above.
Also, don't forget that empty calories do nothing for hunger control and may influence your food choices for the rest of the day too.
