Wanted to do another ballistics test. Last summer, my dad and I were trying different calibers on a cement brick. It wasn't a solid brick but still a lot to break apart. He shot it several times with a 38 Special 1-7/8" barrel J frame. It was cracked, but not badly hurt. Of course 223 broke it to absolute pieces in one shot, and would continue to break it into smaller pieces after that.
This time, tried 9mm from my Kahr CM9 with a 3" barrel. Within 3 shots of FMJ 115 grain, the Brick was in several pieces! Tried the 45 ACP 1911 and it could almost bust it could bust it apart in one shot, maybe two would be needed depending on placement.
Although ballistic gel testing is one of the most importing and relevant test for self defense (or hunting), sometimes you wonder what a certain caliber will travel through. I found it to be true that a 223/556 55 grain FMJ would travel through less boards then a 9mm or 38 special due to it's lighter weight. Many of these test are fun and very interesting.
Regrann from @silverbackgunworks - Dig it. Don't be a hi point. Dm us and let us hook you up! Regrann from @drewstevenson88 - Just got my killer holster in the mail from @silverbackgunworks. This is one of the nicest and best fitting holsters I’ve ever seen, not to mention the Constitution pattern to never forget our 2nd Amendment right to carry. Ben was also able to make me one that I can wear in OR out of my waistband. Also pictured is my new @hyvetechnologies +1 Mag Extension, which makes the G27 feel more comfortable in my hand. #edc#glock#g27#glock27 - #regrann - #regrann
