CAN IT EAT THIS by @iqphysique96⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are no foods that will directly cause or prevent weight loss. So when people ask me "can I eat eat this?", they should be asking whether that food is conducive to their goals given their context. We know that weight loss is dictated by being in a calorie deficit, burning more calories than you consume. So weight loss is dependent on calories, not on a social label or how long it takes to digest. -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The first question is whether the food even fits your daily allotted calories and macronutrient intake. If so, you usually do not want to eat foods that leave you hungry. So if a food is very calorie-dense and low-volume, it should usually be avoided because it will leave you hungry and wanting more calories. -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are times where a food may not provide you with the protein and fiber you need, or may be high in calories. This is when you must consider your adherence. If you love a food and it is not a "trigger", then you should fit it into your daily food intake. This means you hit your calorie and protein intake, eat 2-3 servings of fruits and veggies, and fit that ice cream or whatever it is into your intake. -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Remember, if you never eat the foods you love, it is likely you will fall off your diet or gain back most of the weight you lost. No foods are necessary or can never be eaten. Rather, you just have to make sure you consistently stay within your calorie and macro targets while getting the nutrients you need.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This week the @ado_fitness trainers will be addressing topics we get asked a lot about. Coach @taracarlton_fit addresses if eating before bed is going to make you gain weight.
There is no research that proves that eating before bed will make you gain weight, however eating an additional meal before bed that puts you over your intake definitely can. People also tend to be hungrier at night so sometimes that bedtime snack can turn into seriously going over your intake and leading to a binge, as most people tend to go for high calorie snacks with little to no nutritional value at night time.
A 4 week study done on adults that regularly snacked at night time actually found that people that consume a bedtime snack after dinner, especially for those that tend to over eat at night, were able to stay more consistent with their intake and not over eat. They also ate approximately 397 few calories per day than before they had a planned evening snack and lost an average of 1.85 lbs from the study alone.
So what exactly happens when we are sleeping? Well when we are sleeping our bodies are recovering from our daily activities. The average person sleeps about 1/3 of their day which is a lot of hours that you aren’t eating and providing your body with proper nutrients, which leads to catabolism. With a lack of amino acids we are limiting our body’s ability to repair and rebuild so it is important to get appropriate nutrients before bed.
There was a study done by Kouw et el that proved that a higher consumption of protein (specifically casein) significantly increased levels of protein synthesis compared to the placebo group. So what we are looking for, is the ability for our body to rebuild and repair at optimal levels while we sleep by providing it with all the essential amino acids from a complete protein source. Casein is great because it will keep you satiated because it digested very slowly keeping protein available for longer. Other complete protein sources would include animal proteins, pea protein, or soy protein to name a few. 👇🏻

Fitness tip #7 you know many body builders will tell you that they don’t take days off, that rest day is a myth. People that train 7 days a week but they never seem to change? That’s because you need to take a rest day every now and again; at minimum 1 day a week, personally I take 2 off. Your body needs time to recover, it’s simple science. If you break a muscle down by working it out, but never give it a chance to recover, it’ll never repair itself and you’ll never grow or get stronger, that’s kindergarten knowledge. Science actually says it takes 48 hours for a muscle to fully recover from a workout. So All you guys working full body 7 days a week? Sorry that may work for about a week or two then you’ll be stuck at a plateau. Focus on one body part a day, it helps keep things in proportion and gives other body parts a break. So forget all that bullshit about never taking a day off, cause sometimes, it’s good to be a lazy ass. Important Newz Item Today: Former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, a combative former prosecutor and longtime ally of President Trump, told The Washington Post on Thursday that he has joined the president’s legal team dealing with the ongoing special counsel probe. “I’m doing it because I hope we can negotiate an end to this for the good of the country and because I have high regard for the president and for Bob Mueller,” Giuliani said in an interview.
Trump counsel Jay Sekulow said Thursday in a statement that Giuliani is joining the team along with two former federal prosecutors, Jane Serene Raskin and Marty Raskin, a couple who jointly run a Florida-based law firm. 💪🤯😬💦
