I typically don't double post to Insta and post a story on the same thing, but I'm super stoked with how things went tonight in the gym. I haven't had an increase in my snatch weight in a long time, and things just felt good tonight when lifting. I went for a PR and then I even had someone push me to go further and try another 5lbs. This past weekend I took some time to work on my handstand push-ups. This video may not seem like much, but a little over a month ago I couldn’t get myself to even do a handstand! It’s an amazing feeling to see what hard work and dedication can do! I'm not perfect... I will admit I too feel a little frustrated sometimes.... it feels like nothing is happening.. But I keep telling myself to stick with it and TRUST the process and be patient.
SO I dig deep and I resist the urges to eat junk.. I refuse to throw every thing I have worked for all this time to the way side.
I made a promise to myself that I would do it this time. I have always wanted to prove to myself that I CAN DO THIS. That I AM just as strong in my mind as I am with my body.. I have been good... I'm about 98% bang in with this program. I say that because there is always room for improvement and there is no such thing as perfect.
I could drink more water 💦
I could do better and not have "just one" of my sons French fries and then eat 5! 🍟
I could do better and not skip my veggies for breakfast (it's still hard for me at that meal to get it all in) 🥒
I could do more meal prep so I don't get crazy hungry while I cook it. 😜
I could skip the "just a sip" of my daughters juice 🥛
I could push harder during my workouts and do one more than the week before. 🏋🏽♀️
💪🏽And I can think more positive.💕 These photos are only a 5 pound difference... the photos tell an amazing story. So the scale can just suck it! 🏃🏽♀️Just focus on each day... just a single 24 hours.. put your blinders on and just do what you have to do for that day only..... then go to bed knowing you crushed that day. And tomorrow is a new day waiting to be conquered. 👀 Don't look at how far you still have to go... it will only throw you off. ✅You've got this! 👯We can do it together!

One thing is for sure, I’m a super impatient person. 🙊 And “waiting” to see my body change as a result of the effort I am putting in is SO hard!! Since Christmas, I have really lost no weight. I know it’s not about the weight - there are so many other ways I have made progress, but for some reason, it’s always that number on the scale that I judge my success by. 🙄
Last week I had a rough week mentally. I didn’t have any issues getting my workout done every morning, but I was struggling big time with feelings of disgust towards my body and the changes I convince myself aren’t happening because that number on the scale isn’t changing. 😔
Really though, it’s silly for me to get down on myself so much! ((Easier said than done though, right?? 😬)) At Day 34, I may have only lost 1lb, but I’ve shed almost 5 inches!! And I know I’ve gained muscle! 💪🏻 This week, I’m determined not to let that number get in the way of celebrating my success. How you feel the minute **AFTER** you finish your run... (not DURING)😆😫
This describes exactly how I felt AFTER my run because during my run it was so hard! Nothing was enjoyable about today’s run except my warmup and cool down 😝.
This run probably seems so easy for some, but for ME it challenged me. I kept thinking about the hills I will face at Boston. They will have no sympathy for those that don’t train hard and push thru the training.... so I kept running... and hit my GMP as planned👊🏻 ▫️

Booty day was freakin awesome, as always! Love working the glutes!!! A little NSV: I am starting to actually get some booty gains...may not be much but It's something. And something from flat is gains..yay!! 🍑

Cardio, well...it was tough, as always... I don't think I will ever get used to it...hahaha
Ah well, gotta suck it up and do it even if I don't wanna....ever...lol
